OK TECH, I screwed up and evidently ordered a XC-90 grill for my 02 c70. They have a saying in Alabama............"it ain't gonna work!" What grill should I be ordering so that I have the 'large grid' vs the chrome vertical bars that came standard in the 02? I feel like an idiot! I simply ordered an XC grill and that is what I got................. So, do I need a XC70? Do I need a 2003 c70? What year of which of those should I be ordering?

If you order a XC grill it will have to be a 2000 or older.
That should be what you want.

 

XC grille fits 1998-2000 S/V/70,1998-2004 C70 models and has the updated blue Volvo emblem.

OK. Then it has to be the 70 series and not the 90 series. I noted that the mounts were entirely different. The grill I received had a "push in" arrangement vs the grill I currently have which has small white "studs" protruding with clips. Hopefully TECH and MLADEN I will get it right this time! If it wasn't for MLADEN I wouldn't have suffered this embarrassesment..............that red c70 with the egg crate grill sure looked great!

Oh well, I'll order or look for a 1998 thru 2000 XC70 grill. I sure hope it has those small studs for the mounting arrangement or else it won't work. I truly thank you and maladen for your kind assistance! I just flew back to New Jersey today TECH and it is HOT! Last week I was in N.J. and froze with a winter coat! I'm looking forward to next week in Florida!

Your red c70 sure looks great............I bought a silver one when I saw an identical on at the airport in Tampa............I had to have silver! Where I reside there aren't a lot of c70s and absolutely no red ones.............I may well have been swayed to red had I seen a pic of yours! I bought mine in 02........it was new and I found it in Cincinnatti. Thx again!

Ordered the grill from the local Volvo dealer...........it was just a couple of dollars more costly but no shipping. Mladen's volvo site is pretty interesting!!
