Default Click. Click. -make it go away!

The driver side door hinge (shown below) on my 2001 C70 makes (2) extremely loud clicking noises. One click midway and another when the door is fully opened. Does anyone know how this mechanism works or why it's clicking.

I've compared it to the passenger side and everything that is visible looks fine. I'm assuming it's not catching/hooking or whatever on the inside of the door- which is very hard to see given the confined space.

Any advice on how to remedy this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

First check the screw where it holds to the body and make sure it is tight. Then check the door side. The check might be bad all together.

Thanks! The bottom bolt just needed to be tightened.
