Have a 99 C70 conv with 54000 miles. Brake and ABS lights come on, speedometer shuts off. This happens for about 10 seconds, then Check Engine Light comes on. Brake and ABS lights go out and traction light comes on. Traction and CEL stay on. ABS and Brake lights will occasionally come on while driving and speedometer drops to zero. after a short while lights go out and speedo comes back. Codes are P0000, P1618,P1633. I can clear codes and all appears normal, but in first 15 minutes driving all of the above repeats.

Any suggestions?

 

moving to the right forum... no 240/740/940 has any sort of OBD-II codes.

I found some help on the S80 forum that suggested a reset of the ABS module by driving the car at 35mph, placing it in neutral, and then turning the key Off-On-Off-On-Off-On (3 times) within 5 seconds. I did this, and so far all lights are out and have remained out. if the problem reoccurs, I will get the ABS module rebuilt.

 

Had problem like this, only ABS module replacement fixed it. 1998 C70, 2.3 HPT. Got rebuilt one off e-bay. More than 1 yr later all good! Got from guy who sends rebuilt one & you send back old one. Good price!
