Do these codes point to one specific issue?
Good Evening,
Here are the codes:
BCM-0148 Communication between control units Wrong configuration ID, permanent fault
Causes --- Disruption or intermittent open circuit on the CAN
Internal fault in the Steering wheel module SWM
DIM-0001 Mileage Manipulation (we have had the care since 2008)
Causes -- Communication problem in the CAN network
Fault in the ABS control module
Fault in combined instrument panel
EPS-0080 Steering angle sensor faulty signal, intermittent fault
Causes -- fault trace the steering wheel module (SWM)
While checking the car and receiving the codes i get:
Stop care immediately, brake failure.....
Then the: Anti skid service required with the light on the left
And the answer is........??????
Thanks for any help you can give!!!!
Mark

what year is your car? Is this something that has recently started? This reads like a wiring issue or possibly a fault in the ABS module.
Have you scanned the car with an OBD2 code reader and cleared the codes to see if they return? Have you checked battery/alternator voltage (just in case a low voltage event set off the codes)?
You may want to check out the xemodex web site as they have diagnostic flow charts for ABS module issues.

It’s a 2008.
yes, I have scanned for the codes ….they are the ones I listed.
yes, I had the battery checked a month ago.
I also thought about it being a ABS issue and am calling that company tomorrow.
I also removed the CEM, no water damage. I also cleaned it with electronic contact cleaner. I reinstalled it and has the same codes.

do you have access to a wiring diagram? Not sure if the CEM is in play here - that module has relays etc to power various components - the fault codes suggest the connections between the ABS and Traction Control module and the steering angle sensor's signal have dropped out enough to trigger a fault. Not sure if a steering angle sensor open circuit would cause a cascade of codes - perhaps a deeper scan with a VIDA tool would be a good next step if you don't get anywhere with Xemodex. I'd say its worth the 1 hour diagnostic fee at a dealer since that's way cheaper than replacing the wrong part.
