Default First Problem After 30 Days of Ownership

This morning driving to work I got a blinker bulb failure message. After a few mile the blinker worked fine again. This afternoon it came back.

I checked the bulb with an ohm meter and its good! So it is something else. The front blinker is not working, but the mirror blinker is working fine.

I have been driving for 26 years now and never have I had a blinker problem. This my first Volvo and its scaring me.[:@]

I'm driving to the dealer tomorrow to pick up my tags and I'll ask them to take a look at it if possible.

I know it seems like a pain to bring it back.

But if I just payed all that money for the car and it happened to me I would have it there in 2 seconds flat.

Ok, I took it to the dealer today. They replaced the bulb and pulled out the contacts on the bulb socket. The bulb fits into a plastic socket and the socket fits into the light assembly. That took care of the problem!

You'll come to find that being a volvo owner means you go through lots of bulbs.

I don't recall ever having a bulb fail in my past/present Hondas, Acuras or Nissans!

Going through $3 bulbs is a small price to pay for knowing you're probably gonna survive and accident should you be involved in one, and your engine/trans will last 200k miles and still have a high resale value.

I've had Hondas and Fords that required both trans and engine rebuilds at under 100k miles. But I own 3 Volvos all with AT LEAST 175k miles on the original engine and trans, one of them modified.

And you whine about bulbs...lol!
