Default headlight adjustment

i searched on a couple different forums didnt find much. drove my car for the first time at night, one light is really high the other is really low. how do you adjust them. i looked around and saw the little level thing on top of the light, and its not level; should it be? one forum i searched said there is a 6mm bold i can turn but i didnt see that anywhere.

There should be a plastic nut with a phillips in the middle on the top of the light that is one adjustment and the other is on the back of the light.

One adjustment is for up and down and the other is left and right.
