Default HID Xenon Conversion

I've just got a Xenon Conversion kit from Ebay and went to fit it this morning but kind of fell at the first hurdle.

I couldn't work out where to put the ballast boxes. I can't find any space in the engine bay to put them.

Can anyone who has fitted a xenon conversion kit to their C70 suggest where to mount them?

All help and advise greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

I found some space, but am not entirely happy with the location of the ballasts, has anyone got any recommendations or info on where they have put theirs?

The conversion is well worth it, makes such a difference to night driving.

If you remove the front bumper there is space under the headlights. I had some shots of when I did mine, but I can't seem to find them. There is just enough room between the headlights and the inner rails underneath them.

Thanks, I'm looking for a V70R bumper to fit to my C70, so will move the ballast boxes at the same time.

Most people use the sticky pads and attach them to the battery box and also for the otherside the ECU and TCU box. I did this but the heat was too much and they kept falling off.

You could also for the time being just zip tie them to some of the other wiring behind the lights they wont go anywhere. That is what I have done now and it works great.

Has anyone had a problem with there HID kit and the "dead bulb" indicator coming on the dash when you start the car? This happens to me after installing an HID kit from Eurosport tuning. The strange thing about it is that when I switch the headlights from daytime running mode to full "on" or vice versa, the indicator goes away and both lights come on.
