This morning, I noticed on my 2011 C70, when looking up from the bottom of the car (with the splash shield removed), I could see the transmission dipstick on the front of the engine. I also noticed that is was behind a few things and it was not easily visible from the top.

I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for the reply, do you think it's possible to access it from the top? I can't for the life of me find it.

Based on what I saw, it needs to be accessed from the top. Looking at it from the bottom just helps to know where it is located.

Thank you very much for the help, it is towards the front of the car and basically at the very bottom of it. Impossible to reach since there so many things in the way. Does anyone know if I have to lift the car to access it from underneath? Anyone with experience in these matters would be appreciated.

Thanks you sir sclark0711,

Anyone have a quick tip here? I see on our 2009 C70 that the transmission (AW55) dipstick is really hard to access. It gets a little better when remove the computer cover that is to the right of the engine air cleaner holder. That cover just pulls up/off. I am about to do a transmission fluid change and am a little concerned with how tight the access will be for checking and refilling.

EDIT: I found this youtube where they used a lift and check from under the car
