My in dashboard cd player is stuck 1/2 open. It will not close or release the cd magazine.

Any ideas how I can A) free my cd's b) retrun to a working condition?

Make sure you get the radio code first and then unplug the radio totally.Then wait about 10 minutes and plug it back in.
Most of the time it will reset it.

 

OK, on the code. How do I unplug the radio? Is there a step by step faq or some such?

 

Or could I just disconnect the car battery of 1/2 hour? Would that work as well? It's definitely easier.................

 

On the front of the radio you will see 2 pushin tabs on the sides towards the bottom.Push them in and pull out and the radio will slide out.Then just unplug the wires on the back of the radio.

Unfortunately it did not resolve my issue.

Is there a plan "B", if so, please let me know, as my Cd's are still in the player, and I would like to be able to free them and listen to them as well.

If you are not under Warranty the remove the top cover and then you should be able to work the C/D's out from there.
