Default Just got a C70

After months of trying to talk my wife out of a convertible we finally just got a 2013 C70 with 19k miles. It was purchased at the end of the model year so still has about 2 years of warranty left.

So we'll see how it works out here in Utah. It doesn't have many or any options; I'm going in to the original dealer tomorrow and see if they can bring up the old window sticker or any other records. I guess there is no spare, just an inflation kit. I'm thinking about the Polestar software but probably can't justify it.

I got the polestar on my S60 and it is night and day. She is way more responsive and just u can hear/feel the difference. Also better gas milage. I got it when it was on sale for $800 but don't let them try and charge you over $1,000 check different dealers. And I'm sure on your C70 you will really enjoy the upgrade.

Try plugging your VIN into a "decode my VIN" web site. Depending on which one you try, you can get a breakout of your features such as engine code and its management system type etc. More importantly you should have a complete Carfax report for your new car as it will show repair history (including recall campaigns) , original owner&location, original registration types (ie private, lease, rental).

There's also different "chassis plates" under the hood which you can snap a picture or copy down for useful info like paint code, suspension code etc.

The dealer who sold you the car may already have a car fax report on hand or has an account to run the report for you.

Also, if you bought a CPO car, read through your warranty terms. This came in really handy for me when my '12 VW CC (bought as a CPO) died on the road this past July due to a failed alternator at 49K miles. Got a free tow, all work covered by the CPO warranty..

Thanks. I did get a carfax report, and noticed that it said the owner purchased a 3rd party extended warranty. I'm not sure if it's still active and/or transferable but will try to check. I'm pretty sure I was able to figure out all the options now. I finally got a 2nd key; it took 5 trips to the dealer. They had trouble getting it programmed and finally worked with tech support and found out that they had to un-program my existing key, update some car software, and then could re-program both keys.
