Default lifespan

Hey folks its been awhile since I been around.

Whats the approx lifespan for springs? I have an 01 C70 with around 91k miles on her. New struts and control arms up front and she rides like total Sh*t. It feels like the right front is hitting harder than the others.

Speaking of suspension lifespans, anyone know the ride height for front and rear on a '99 coupe? Which points are measured? My rear has less gap between the tire and wheel well than the front. Measuring the ride height would be one way to tell if the springs are sagging. I would imagine it'd be the same or similar for you '01.

Might not be your springs. Might be the Struts! From what I know, Springs rarely go bad. Usually the seats, bushings and/or struts are usually the items that fail . Though I am sure if you hit enough pot holes with all those previously mentioned gone bad, your springs might take a hell of a beating. See if anyone else chimes in on this. Also check your complete suspension underneath and check all bushings too. You'd be surprised how those afect the overall drive if they are worn out! Good Luck

struts and seats and all that was replaced. The struts I used are Monroes.

It depends on what kind of springs you have (air or coil) I am assuming you have air and air will always give you problems. It is never truly fixed. The only sure fix for your suspension it a conversion kit. I would recommend going to strutmasters.com and taking a look at our kits. This converts you from air to powder coated, American made steel coil springs that are guaranteed to last the life of the car. I posted the link below so you can take a look.

I hope this will help you out
