Looking to buy a 2013 c70
Hello I'm new to the forums and I'm trying to get my hands on a volvo. Specifically the c70. I saw 2013 model and it above 100k. Service history doest look that bad but before I buy what to look out for. Like coolant color common issues etc. Also since it a hard top, how often does it break and if any how to prevent it from malfunctioning.

Hi Chemilla, bought my 2008 C70 a year ago. Had it inspected at pep boys before purchase. Showed no issues and the provided a car fax. Bought it at 66,000 miles. No issues yet. Half the fun is the search, enjoy. Check Car Fax used cars. You can put in car you want and distance you will go.

Chemilla: I love my Volvo, never had one before. I was rear ended this past spring. Really pretty minor but after repair top got stuck half open. Insurance company took care of it, $25 part, $900 labor. Otherwise no issues with top in the over a year I’ve had it. As I said, take it to reputable shop to have pre purchase inspection. Pep boys checked about 125 things and no problems. I’m sure you will love it. It’s a real looker and mine has amazing features considering its fifteen years old. The 2013 has even more features. I wish you well 😀

I really love this car, 2011 c70 t5 but there’s an annoying issue with starting, no easy start at any temperature. It will crank and crank but about the third crank it starts but rough then smooths out, my 08 Lexus RX with 198xxx miles starts and runs like new, I expected this 2011 volvo to be even better. Very disappointed. Is there any help out there ? Any hope ?

It might be that the fuel from the fuel pump to the motor is leaking back through the fuel check valve while the engine is off. To test, turn the key from off to on several times before you start the car. This will allow the fuel pump to run additional time before you start the car. Then start the car and see if it starts easier. On a Ford Explorer I had similar symptoms during starting and it required the fuel pump (which on the Ford contained a fuel check valve) to be replaced.
