She's a recovered theft vehicle. I looked her over and so far all I can see that she needs is a battery, spark plugs, front shocks, two timing belt pulleys, the right CV boot, a radio, and a lot of sanding and polishing on the exterior paint to deal with orange peal. She has a high pressure turbo and only 65,000 miles. I paid about $2100 for her.

Now I need to modify her so that she can out perform my 97 M3. This should be fun.

I have a lot of questions to ask about modding, but I'm going to finish doing my "research" on what people have said already on this forum before I do that.

Next mod: replace the grille.

Tech, I have a question for you: my C70 has a xenon conversion for the low beam headlights. Will I have to buy another kit for the high beams or can I use the current kit to run both high and low?

Unless someone came out with something else you will need to buy another kit. But on mine I only run it on low beams. I never use high beams. The low beams are bright enough.

I've only driven the car a little bit, but I did notice that it made little difference if I turned on the high beams. I'll have to replace the factory high beam bulb with a blue bulb or something though, the yellow beside the HID looks very off kilter.

Have you had any trouble getting your car inspected with the HID low beams? I was told that it would be a good idea to put in a blue high beam bulb to pass inspection.

Sorry but I don't have any inspection at all here in Florida.
