New Battery, New Reman Starter, New Alternator: POWER SYSTEM SERVICE URGENT
Hi All:
In the last few weeks it got really hot here in central Ohio. I started getting convertible top error messages on my 2008 Volvo C70 with 153K miles, which I could clear by disconnecting and reconnecting the car battery a couple of time. The next problem: the car would not start (no crank). So, I decided it was time to replace a 5-year old plus battery. That did not solve the problem, still no start (no crank). Until the next day -- it started in the morning, cooler weather. So I drove it home 100 miles and parked it. Would not start again no matter what. I decided it was the starter. I also decided the alternator was 150k miles old and so while I had the car tore down (also did an A/C compressor/drier/condenser replacement and oil sump replacement because they needed changed too but I was living with those problems for awhile). I also changed the oil pressure sensor, as deeply buried that thing is as well. Everything is new and back together, and runs and sounds fine, except the dashboard is giving me the POWER SYSTEM SERVICE URGENT message. So, I am at a loss on how to clear this error. Otherwise everything would be normal. Any advice?
Thanks!
