Default New blower motor fixed my issue.

Thanks to some of the info on this site I replaced the blower motor on my 2002 C70. The fan wouldn't run normally and would only come on when the car was first started, or key turned, and then would shut off after a couple seconds. The lights for AC on/off and fresh air on/off would flash for about 10 seconds after the motor turned off.

I ordered a fan, and installed it today. Problem solved! Fan now works like it should. When I checked the old fan on the bench I could tell that it was not as free as it should be, stopped almost immediately after being spun by hand.

My guess is the CCU detected too much amperage draw and shut it down. At least that's my theory and I'm sticking with it.

I also replace the headlight lenses since one was broken and it looks better with both new glass lenses. Can't believe how easy it was to get the headlights out. I've seen some cars that you almost have to pull the engine. And the lenses were not that bad to change.

Anyway, thanks to this forum for all the useful information. So far I'm good to go. Except for those rubbing tires on tight turns.
