I've just taken deliver of new c70. I can't get the radio to work without the key in. Is this normal on Volvos or is there somwhere in the menu to get it to work?

 

I have 2008 C 70 conv. and I think nothing works with the key at least in the first click . I know the cig. light will not work untill the car is turned on for me to set my aftermarket GPS.

In my C70, the radio does not work with out the key in the first position. I wanted to charge my bluetooth earphone overnight, but there is not power in the 12V outlet unless the key is "on".

I bought on eBay. Very pleased. Additional benefit, it prevents flapping of the rear seat belts.
Also, found a dealer that was willing to sell a new one at a reasonable price ($377.81). The Volvo part number is 30633805. The dealer was in NJ (Palisades Volvo Mazda Factory Parts). His email was DwayneGlenn@ThePremierCollection.com. I found him by Googling the P/N.
