Default New improved C70

I didn’t think I could possibly love my ’08 C70 any more than I already do but after this weekend I do. I had purchased a new set of Hankook V3 tires a few months ago and was trying to get as many miles out of the original Michelin tires that came on the car. It just turned over 36,000 miles and for the last 8000 miles the noise from the old tires was just about to drive me crazy, (despite looking like they are only about 2/3 wore) and I almost would have sworn I had a bad wheel bearing, not to mention the very harsh ride. The new tires were probably $140 a piece cheaper than going back with the original equipment tires and in my mind 100 times better. Nice comfortable quiet ride. I am in love again.

great to know! i just bought a 2008 with 28k miles with the original michelin tires.

it was so noisy after i test drove i actually asked the owner to have it checked out because i was concerned it was the bearings. there looks to be still decent tread on the tires.

the mechanic told him it was normal. funny the noise actually isn't bad at highway speeds - it seems to be more slower speeds with the top down that i notice .

after your note, i'm looking forward to new tires for a quieter ride!
