No sound from dash Tweeters

Every other speaker in my 01 C70 (Non premium sound system) with the SC-816 work great. The tweaters on the dash though don't make a sound. I took them out and the both were connected properly. Recently my dash was taken apart in order to fix something with the Airbag. Now my question is - would there be somewhere out of sight underneath the dash that the tweaters could have been disconnected from that would require me to pull the dash out and re-connect?
I am almost 100% they forgot to re connect them I just don't know where they need to be connected below because the speakers themselves are connected.
Thanks

i would use a multimeter and put it on the output wires of the tweets and see if your getting any readings. no readings = no outputfrom the 816, if you getsome readings = blown tweets.
my 816 isn't putting out signal to my center, dash tweetsor my rear passenger drivers. i checked by jumping wiresfrom know working speakers to the ones that weren't working. the non-working drivers started working once they were given a signal.

Hm, I don't have a multimeter right now. I don't see how these would be blown, I am 98% sure it has to do with the dash being taken apart. The guys did a half *** job and I put half of it back together myself. I never heard the sound system prior to buying the car since I needed the radio code. It was after I bought it and some small issues were resolved that I got the code and found out they weren't working.
The SC-816 is for the non premium sound system I.E. no center channel and dolby processor. When I take the HU out there is a blue wired plug that is not connected but theres no where for it to be plugged into. I just wish I knew if those tweets connect/disconnect somewhere below the dash. If everything fails I'll find a multimeter, if these tweets are blown I'm selling the car! [sm=roll.gif]

The SC-816 came with the NON PREMIUM sound equiped cars. The SC-901 came with the Premium equipped cars with a Dolby processor for the surround sound effect. This means the SC-816 equipped cars do not have present the center channel speaker, the dash is smooth. The tweets have nothing to do with the Surround sound - they just provide the highs like in any other car.
Also the SC-816 has a built in amp for all the speakers, the cars that came with the 816 came with a 4x60 amp.
The premium sound system with the SC-901 came with a 4x100 amp and the HU only powered the center channel speaker, the rest were run off the amp.
So the difference between the Premium and non premium are:
-Center Channel
-SC-901 w/Dolby Processor
-4x100 AMP
That's it. To me it doesn't even matter give the fact that the center channel speaker becomes useless once you swap out to a aftermarket HU.

so, basically there used to be a SC-901 in my car, but someone replaced it with the damn 816. my dash has the dolby center stage drivers and the tweets in the dash, it's not smooth. man, whoever had this car before me really @!#$%!#@$%! it up!
i'm just gonna get that new sony &" screen D-DIN mp3 player cause it can utilize all of these drivers with dolby surround sound and i'll get a 4x100w amp, then figure out how to make it work. i really miss my MP3s [:@]
