Default P1655 OBD II Code

I have a 2000 Volvo V70 XC/AWD. It came up with 4 codes - P1655, P0445, P0448, P0245. The P1655 code is "Manufacturers Control Auxiliary Inputs Auxiliary Outputs." Does anyone know what this means? Also, when repairing, should I begin with the first code, or do I have to figure out which one caused the others to turn on?

I found out that the P1655 is a Camshaft Reset Valve. Anyone know what that is?

The camshaft reset valve is the valve mounted in the cam cover just behind the cam pulleys. There is 4 8mm screws holding it on.

Has a timing belt been done lately?

Thanks for the information. The timing was done about 15,000 miles ago. Does the P1655 code mean that I have to replace the camshaft position sensor or that it is noticing something wrong with the camshaft? Is it possible that the other codes that came up are affecting the sensor? How does one determine which code should be addressed first?

I would replace the reset valve first. That is one of the common things to go bad. But if the code comes back you would have to check more from there.

Hi. I have P1655 code as well, after replacing my VVT solenoid. The new VVT solenoid got rid of the P1332 and intermittent P0016, but after 80 miles the P1655 code appeared.

Would this series of codes indicate that I should also replace the Camshaft Reset Valve?

Thanks,
Alex

In my case, the P1655 code came back because the connector on the new VVT solenoid was faulty. I removed the plastic clip and connected the wires directly to the pins and the problem has not recurred since.
