hi i just purchased this 99 c70 and the oil light came on so i pullover and purchase a couple quarts of quarts of oil and check the oil dipstick and it was a little bit on the tip so i put in a a quart and a half and it seemed it was at a decent level so i drive off ,then a few miles later the oil light comes back on so i pull over and check the oil and the oil is at a good level so i go back into my car and try to start and it wouldnt turn on so i keep tryying to crank the car untiil it starts and when the car finally turns over after 3 tries the car drives like **** and the oil and engine lights turns on and wouldnt go past 60 making a weird noise and so i drive another half a mile home and im just stuck dont know whats wrong with my coupe

 

can it be the oil pump and the motor did start to tick not to crazy

 

Was the noise a knocking noise?
If so the rod bearings are most likely trashed.
You lost oil pressure for some reason.

 

well it wasnt knocking but it was more ticking and it just happend yesterday but im waiting til moday to see a volvo tech !!! im just in a stump just confused on whats wrong this car it doesnt sound to bad and earliar i had to move the car for parkingand the check engine light was on but then the oil light will turn on and off and like i said before the doesnt want to pull at all

 

The motor might be damaged.
The oil pan o-rings are very common to go bad causing low oil pressure.

 

thanks im seeing a tech tomorrow morning i explained to him over the phone what went wrong and he mentioned that maybe there is a clog in the oil pump etc etc or something within those lines hopefully its a easy and unexpensive fix seeing that i spent all my money buying the damm car :/
