power steering and coolant expansion tank removal
So the other day I finally found where my coolant leak is coming from. I looks as though the hose at the bottom of the expansion tank is not clamped down well. So just to make sure, I'd like to remove it, get a new hose, and new clamp as well. While doing that, I also noticed that my power steering hose is leaking around the clamp as well.
Does anyone know if there is a special trick to remove these tanks? I see the clips on the side, but don't want to pry to hard, for fear of breaking them. Also, any tricks on removing the crimp clamps without the tool?
Thanks

The bottles will come off as one if you want them to.
Just pull them up. If you want to seperate them you need to stick a little screwdriver in where the bottles meet. Then push the tab and slide up on the steering bottle.
To get the clamps off a use a small screwdriver and pry the clamp at the end to unhook it.

Thanks.
So I tried to remove the 2 bottles together, and that was difficult, so after some elbow grease, I was able to pry the 2 bottles apart. Removed the clamps and drained the power steering. Brought the hose to volvo to buy a new one (70 bucks! sheesh) reconnected, new clamps and refilled, bled, and now she runs like a champ.
The other problem is that I thought by tightening the clamp around the bottom hose of the coolant expansion tank that it would stop that leak. NOPE! So now, I have to go back and get another hose. Is there any alternative to paying an arm and a leg for hose?
