Would someone explain what "Reduced Guard" is and what it does?

Found it. Its under Alarm in the owners manual.......Still unsure what it is and how it works...

 

its an alarm system mode where the motion sensors are deactivated but the door sensors are still active. So you could do something like lock your dog in the car and his frantic pacing wouldn't set off the alarm (but opening the door without the fob or key would).
