Default Remote starter on 04 C70 install

Hi all, I have a 2004 c70 and I bought a remote starter that I am thinking of installing. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience installing a remote starter on a Volvo similar to mine. I read the wiring diagram and the instructions but I am wondering about relays. On the diagram on the book it shows relays for the ignition wires but the instructions dont mention it. I have taken care of the immobilizer so that is not an issue. Also there seems to be many extra things that I will most likely not use like the horn output and flashing lights. Also was wondering if this will interfere with the alarm and door locks. Let me know if anyone has any advice. Thanks

Merlinx.
I just bought the remote starter kit also. Hope we get some response from the proffessors! Electrical trial & error is frustrating! I am going to print the wiring diagram make a plan then use my $900 IPD VOM/O'scope portable meter and attack this soon.
40 below @ my sisters house makes this practicle. I also got a plug in oil heater. Remote start is nice here in Virginia above 100 degrees F. I am going to put the same in my F-150.

How does the plug in oil heater work? readyremote.com has the wiring diagram for specific cars I am confusd if you need a relay for every connection or not. The book shows a relay is needed but the wiring diagram does not. I have already disabled the immobilizer (turned it into a sort of kill switch) so that will not be an issue. Getting almost too cold here in MN to install it though. Dont have a heated garage.

Default Oil Heater

You remove a freeze plug from the block & install. It works just like the heater in an electric hot water heater. It plugs the hole in the block and you tighten a thick rubber seal down with the large washer on the outside & nut, an elec cord comes out the enter with a male plug to connect to an extension cord. Keeps oil warm so block doesn't freeze. Easy start in morning. Everyone uses them in Clinton & Franklin County, NY. 40 - 60 below hard on engines. Ambient temp plus wind. I get mine @ NAPA. They are an option when you buy any vehicle around there, new or used! Gas or diesel. I will lok @ that site for wiring also.
