Default Scanner from Ebay

Hi All

I just received a code reader that I bought off of ebay. It seems to be pretty good. The problem is I tried it because my Check Engine light has been on since I changed the plugs, wires and rotor.
The code showed up as p0006. Fuel Shutoff Valve. A control circuit low. Does this mean anything to you guys. I know I will have to take it to the dealer but the closest one is 1.5 hrs away. I would feel better driving it there knowing I am not damaging it further.

Tks
John

That might mean either the Gas cap is loose or something like that.

If it is running ok Clear the code and see how long it takes to come back.

It doesn't seem 100%, once in a while(maybe twice a day) it will stall when I come to a stop. As well maybe once a day it will bsckfire through the carb.(I know it is fuel injected, I am from the old school and that is the only way I can describe it:-).

Are you sure it is P0006?
I can't find info on it as of yet.

I will try to look tomorrow.

Yes the scanner said P0006 and the book says that it is Fuel Shutoff Valve. A control circuit low.

Tks for checking it out.
