Hi Everyone,

I have an 01 C70 Convertible with the sc901 sound system. I LOVE IT. But I have a problem. Earlier this week while driving home from a stressfull day at work I decided to listen to my favorite Cd. While in concert in thecar I began to smell something burning.I relaizedthat this burinng smell was coming from my dash mounted tweeter. It smell like buring or melting plastic. I turned the radio off until I got home, and once I pulled into the garage I removed the dash tweeter speaker cover (and this is the tweeter on the right side of the dash). My question is does anyone know how to remove the tweeter itsself? I'm not sure if it was the speaker, or something else within the dash. Please help as I am afraid of turning my radio up anymore, which is a problem because I've been having some stressfull days at work. LOL .......Yea, yea, I know what everyone is probably thinking, my singing is so bad it blew out a speaker! [:'(]

 

I cannot find a clear description Vadis but the speaker cover should just pop off and there should be a screw holding the speaker in.
