Default THinking if buying a 2002 coupe, have a question?

I'm very interested in buying, i've been a big fan of the car for years. Here is my one concern, I'm a big guy(6'3", 285), i'm concerned with my long time comfort in the car, i'm not huge, but a bit tall. I felt comfortable(best seats ever!) on my test drive, but i'm not sure(i have enough trouble deciding what to eat when i got out, let alone a car)Any tall C70 owners out there that can give me some reasurance?

I have worked on many of them. They are quite comfortable Room should not be a problem.I'm 5'11 and have had to move the seat foward to drive the car.The only concerns you should worry about is if you can buy an extended warranty. The window regulators go bad and they aren't cheap to repair. The throttle body's go bad to.And the last thing is the ABS control module.Other than that they are great cars. All the other models have the same problems also.I hope this helps a little.

Good luck in your decision

Thanks for the advice. It actually has low mileage(19,000), so at least i have almost 2 years and 30k miles left on the orig warranty. Can you suggest a good aftermarket warranty? There are plenty of them out there, would like to know which is the most hassel free(if there is one).

Also, does Volvo have a number that i can call to find out any history on the car? matienence? completion of recalls?

Once again, thanx for the advice!

Vip or Cpo are the best extended warrantys out there. They are auctualy VOLVO extended warranty. No there realy isn't a number you can call about the service history.I would try to check with your local dealer and see if there is a history there.Volvo only keeps track of warranty history.

I will be purchasing the car from an Audi dealer actually. Can you buy the VIP warranty if it's purchased from soneone othere than a Volvo dealer?

Thanks for you help. Is there anything i should be very observant of when looking at the car? any areas i should pay attention too? the brakes felt a little light to me, it has a little over 19k miles on it. is that alright?

again, thanks for the help!

Im not sure if you can purchase VIP from Audi.I think you can go to a Volvo dealer and purchase from them within a couple thousand miles of going out of factory warranty.I know you really didn't want to hear that but I think that's how it works. The only other think i can tell you to look for on the car is remove the oil cap and make sure there is no sludge in the cap and filler grate. If there is I would pass on it.It may cause problems down the road.People neglect oil changes causing engine to sludge up and burns the turbo up.If the Oil changes can be proven for all oil changes since new within the factroy warranty period they will fix and desludge engine under warranty.
