Please give me some advice. I was told by a friend that I should do a tranny flush. I have a 99 c70 with about 95,000 miles. I have heard from transmision mechanics never to do a flush. At the same time my trusted volvo mechanic says its needed. Any suggestions?

Do it!! A flush I am speaking of. My second suggestion is to have the Volvo dealer perform this service. It is relatively inexpensive and you will not have to deal with 13 quarts of fluid to dispose of. I have this service performed every two years irrespective of mileage. There is great controversy on this forum re: the type of fluid that should be used. I shall not delve into that subject but suffice it to say, my Volvo dealer DOES NOT use the Volvo fluid but rather the G.M. product. I operate an old 2002 c70 and have great confidence in the Volvo dealer that I have service my auto.
