Transmission

98 C70 automatic, 48k miles. Won't shift from 2nd to 3rd. Suggestions? Thanks. Fluid clean & full.

Will it start in 3rd when winter mode is selected?

Vehicle will start/run normally but not shift from 2nd to 3rd driving. Tried in S E W modes. Same results, stays in 2nd gear. Didn't think you could start car in 3rd gear but will try today. Thanks.

Do you have the overdrive arrow light lit up on your dash?

NO, will not start in 3rd gear.

It wont start in 3rd gear. theres the neutral safety switch to prevent you from starting in anything other than P.

Did you check the PNP? Also, what happens when you put it in "3"?

PNP? If I move shifting lever from 2nd to third while driving there is no change in RPMs.
