Default v70 2door convertable

Hi to all, I am writing this on behalf of my son who has the above car.
The battery has died and on looking to change it, a reinforcing / roll over bar is over the top of the battery. Is it possible to angle the battery and slide it out or does the roll over bar have to be removed, if so is this difficult.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards, Rob

Hi and welcome to the site.

The car is likely a C70.

There should be a small clip to pull out, then slide the battery over and lift it out.

Thats for the old style C70. Not the hardtop convertible, some of which have the cross brace described by the original poster.

Is there information in the owners manual about it?
