Default Visor and battery drain

I searched the other posts about fixing a visor, and someone mentioned their battery going dead.....something about the broken visor wires draining the battery. Well, last night, when I put my drivers side visor down, it made a snapping noise, and now it sags. When I put it down, the light above the visor does not come on. The passenger visor works fine. Should I be concerned about battery drain, etc. The battery is brand new and I don't want any problems! Thanks!

If the wires end up touching then it will turn the light on and drain the battery.

Possibly but it usually just keeps the light on and kills the battery.

Just remove the two 10mm screws holding the sun visors pivot arm and unplug the visor. No more battery drain. No it won't blow the fuse; its a switch to shut off the visor that is most likly causing the problem. If you close the mirrors plastic cover it should shut off.
