Default visor wiring repair or source of spares?

Is it possible to do a decent repair of the mirror light switch wiring in the visor of a C70 convertible?

It clearly had an intermittent short across the wiring (always on visor up as well on with mirror slide open.)

The mirror slide doesn't look like it's made to be removed and the location of the short means I've no access even to tape it up, so I'd need access to the mirror end to pull the wire through and reconnect.

If not can any recommend a decent source of discount spares.

Thanks!

Usually when they do that the plastic inside the visor broke.Where it attaches at the body. That messes up the wiring and keeps them on.

No repair just to buy a new one.

I had to remove my visor on my 2001 convertable today and I can't seem to locate a replacement except at the dealer. They want too much money. Are there other sources for replacement? I've looked on eBay and there aren't any. I suppose I will have to continue to look. If you know of any other sources I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Raul
