Does anyone know if the XC-40 Recharge models being delivered now have a compass in the rear view mirror? I'm not seeing one and although there's mention of it in some versions of the online manual, the procedure mentioned to activate it does not seem to work for me. Did they leave it out?

 

I'm not sure what Packages your XC40 Recharge has available but my 2021 XC60 T8 Recharge has the mirror compass as part of the Inscription PKG. Hope that helps.

 

Thanks. I'm finding that the packages for the other Volvo XC vehicles tend to be different for the XC-40 Recharge. Very frustrating but that's the way it is. I confirmed with the dealer yesterday that there is indeed, no compass included in the mirror for my car.

 

It is different. There's no compass in the P8 Pure Electric. I confirmed it after driving a gas loaner that did have it. Certainly nothing in the rear-view mirror on the P8 and I'm guessing they removed it due to the electric motor et al. It appears to rely on GPS for the map heading, but sometimes it gets confused and the map rapidly tilts (so jarring).
