XC40 Considering an XC40 Twin Engine BEV Tail End of 2022
What is the scoop folks? Can you recommend the XC40 All Electric?
Thinking of buying new, with a 5 to 7 month wait here in the Czech Republic.
Aside from electric cars in general, is the XC40 P8 a good car that matches the competition?
The range is perhaps shorter than some other cars...

If you live in a cold climate any electric car is kind of bad idea.
I have a xc40 recharge Twin ultimate ... Summertime it takes me to work (roundtrip) 9 kilowatts but wintertime in MN 15-19 kilowatts, it doubles the electricity and I have 78 kilowatts battery on it... so figure....

Also, when it is too cold there is an orange line shows up on dashboard and it reduces the performance quite bit... Until the battery gets warm up that orange line stays there that means you have to be careful because you cannot use the car full all the way...
Also, when it is too cold fake tire pressure warning shows up all the time...
If you're looking for a small SUV / crossover and don't have a hard requirement for full electric, the Hyundai Kona PHEV might be worth a look. Reduces fuel costs like an EV but still provides a combustion engine to eliminate range issues and minimize cold weather concerns. Not sure if this is available in your market. Also, Toyota makes a PHEV version of the RAV 4. Either one is probably a lower cost than an XC-40 EV.
