S90 Duration of Climate Conditioning on Timer
(I'm posting here as my question appears more relevant to Recharge owners than other S60 owners, and I still don't understand why S60 PHEV are not listed in this sub.)
I have a 2025 S60 T8 (no longer labeled as Recharge this year). I have a dedicated 220v outlet in the garage for regular charging. When I use the Volvo Cars app to schedule climate conditioning while plugged in, the system appears to be running climate control for around 2 hours to reach the target temperature. We have had a cold winter here in New England so I appreciate a warm car, but 2 hours seems like an exceptionally long time for the system to run and an unnecessary waste of electricity. Is there a way to limit or control the length of time the climate will run on AC power? So far, I've been compensating by setting my programmed time later than my actual time and have been playing with varying lengths of this adjustment. For tomorrow, I plan to use the car at 7:15, so I programmed a need for 8:00.
Thanks,
Dan

Update: Maybe this lengthy run time is weather related. Our temperatures have finally started rising a little, regularly getting above freezing during the day and somewhat below freezing at night (in other words, maple sap running season). Today the system started running a little more than an hour before its programmed usage time. This suggests the car bases its run time on the outside temperature, which is certainly logical. I also received an update to the Volvo Cars Android app since I originally posted, so I cannot be sure which change led to this adjustment. Either way, the system seems to be working as preferred now, and I have adjusted my scheduled usage time to my actual need time.
