Default [02 2.4T] Climate control goes brain-dead

Every once in a while -- probably 20% of the time -- climate control goes nuts and blows what feels like full-cold air, at full fan speed, no matter what temp is set... unless I set it to max heat. Then it blows nuclear-powered heat. Usually, it works fine, but those random times that it doesn't... very annoying. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Skadet

Volvo is having alot of problems with the control modules and they are still trying to figure it out.

I experience the same thing at times (2002 S60). I find that if I leave the climate control on when I turn the car off, then start the car a few minutes later, it will blow cold air. If I turn the climate control off before shutting the car off, then start it back up again, it works fine. It's weird like that.
