Default Google maps stops working in a certain location

Hi all,
hi my 2022 xc60 T8 hybrid's google maps stops working (4 times so far since new in Nov 2022) when in a certain spot in Chatswood, Sydney, NSW and does not work for at least 24 hours despite trying a reset or waiting overnight. It just keeps trying to connect but all other things working.
Interestingly it answers when you say "Hey Google" and has the address I say in the search bar but it obviously is not connecting to a satellite as the circle (hourglass) just keeps going around.
Also Google maps on my phone still works in the same area!
It seems to right itself about 24-36 hours later!
VERY ANNOYING when you are staying at a hotel and trying to find your way out for the night or returning or leaving next day.
The car has had at least one OTA update but is yet to have it's first service. Only done 8000Km or there abouts.
Anyone, had anything similar?

regards
Peter

Peter, Paul here from Melbourne

I also have the exact same car, age, mileage etc. Exactly the same experience 2 or 3 times. Did all the same things but the Info system stayed doggedly ‘off line’. Fixed itself after 24 hrs or so and I thought an upgrade may have been deployed to fix. BUT in a, possibly, unrelated episode a couple of weeks ago the XC60 turned into a brick. Going perfectly one day and the next morning wouldn’t open. Opened the passenger door with the metal key, alarm going, wouldn’t start, didn’t recognise key – nothing, nada, zip, mort, dead. Roadside assist got RACV out but no good, disconnected the service battery, itself trick cause the back couldn’t open. Dragged onto a tow truck like a 2 year old in a supermarket because the brakes wouldn’t come off. Taken to the dealer where they were likewise stumped for several days, finally conceding that it appeared to be the vehicle management board completely failing. We went overseas so it’s still there as I write. I am not impressed with my $120k investment, which is a great shame because it is a beautiful car and our entrée into EV driving.

I understand computerised vehicles are a challenge but if it gets ‘bricked’ in a no tow location I’m not sure what Volvo will do about it – helicopters are expensive and the owners anger as noisy.

Regards pp
