XC60 Recharge Model No Heater in Pure Mode
Agreed! I tried to explain this phenomenon to the dealer and he brushed it off saying as long as I’m in power mode everything works fine. I was up in the mountains of Vermont with a cold engine and couldn’t get the defroster working for a few minutes while I had a foggy windshield.
Yep, it's an epidemic. I have a new 2022 S60 Recharge Ext Battery with no heat in Pure and Hybrid mode. The dealership told me the part is on back order and no ETA at all. I contacted Volvo for a buy back and they said no. They did offer to make one car payment, which is nice. However, I can't enjoy electric mode in the winter at all. I'm in contact with a lemon law attorney who stated that he's recently settled a couple Volvo Heat/AC cases.
I was also told that there was no estimated time for a replacement part for my heater but when i said i wanted to return the car, that they knowingly sold me a defective car, they told me to call Corporate Volvo, before I was able to, the new part miraculously arrived. I believe they took it from another vehicle on the lot but don't really know. We should not have to tolerate this.
Agree, not acceptable. You need to put more pressure on the dealer. See previous posts on what people have done. Here is what I did after reading all of the posts:
I contacted dealer and said the part replacement with no estimated date was unacceptable . I live in a cold climate. I said if I wanted an all gas vehicle I would have purchased one. This is my fifth Volvo-I didn't know i had to test the vehicles myself before taking them off of the lot.
Once i asked to return the car , that I didn't want it, they said that i would have to talk to Corporate and gave me the number. but quickly found a replacement in under two days.
Don't give up. The dealers are in a bad position having to sell these defective cars. I do hope that there is a recall...
