Default Recharge and radar detectors

I’ve had an installed (versus just plugged in) radar detector in my cars over the last 10+ years and despite trying not to be a maniac, I think it’s saved me a lot of tickets, money and driver education courses. I have a 2022 XC60 Recharge ER and want to have a radar detector installed given how fast these cars are even when you’re not trying hard. With what appears to be the car’s sensitive technology and various software problems to date, I’m nervous to add any other non-factory technology to the car. Does anyone know if it might screw up some technical/software feature in the car? I can’t find anything online. Thanks.

I use a Valentine 1 in my 2020 xc60 positioned on the drivers sun visor (suction cup mount is easily seen making V1 more of a theft target) with their Savvy OBD power plug in and a remote display. No problems. I used a V1 in my 2015 xc70 and when the V1 was placed high on the center of the windshield next to the mirror - it would pick up bounced laser signals from vehicles in from of me, worse sitting at traffic lights - coming from the xc70. Solution was to mount V1 on sun visor and angle away from straight ahead. Very annoying. Same thing happened in a Subaru rental - Detector was worthless.

But no problems with the 2020 xc60.

Not a radar detector, but when I bought my 2021 T8, I had the Volvo shop install my Dash Cam just under the center w/s box and run the wires down the passenger side piler where they hardwired it into the harness with a fuse. I think doing it this way is the reason it has had no issues whatsoever.

Fitcamx.com makes a dash cam that snaps onto the bottom of the mirror and plugs into the mirror wiring -
