I have a '25 XC60 T8, and I noticed that every time I start it up in EV mode, I hear a noise that sounds like something interfering with a fan. It does go away after a time and you don't hear it when my wife pulls into the garage after returning home. I know I can bring it into the dealer, but I first wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this noise.

 

I’ve seen a few people mention similar noises on newer hybrid and EV systems, especially during startup. A lot of the time it ends up being a cooling fan, heat pump, or battery conditioning system doing its thing while the car wakes up. Since it goes away after a bit and doesn’t happen when returning home, it may only occur during cold startup cycles. That said, if it truly sounds like something physically rubbing or hitting a fan blade, it’s probably emu casino worth having the dealer check before it becomes worse. Recording the sound could help too.
