'03 S40 brake shudder
'03 s40, 55k.
A few months ago I had front and back brakes replaced, pads, rotors. Was in a hurry so I paid the high cost at Midas.
When I'm going at a decent speed (over 30 mph? or so), I feel the front wheels (and the steering wheel) shudder. Stopping power is fine. This is just annoying. It's almost like the ABS is overdoing it.
As always, I would prefer to fix it myself instead of throwing out hundreds to a mechanic. Any suggestions?

Check your lug nuts first, they may have loosened. There is also the possibility the calipers nuts have loosened. After, if every thing is tight, a rotor may have warped. Midas may be goodat mufflers..................?
Bring it back to them. They should make good on the brake job.

Took it back to Midas. They replaced the rotors in Dec.
This time they mentioned that there was a good deal of rust on them so they surfaced and seem to be working fine now.
