Where do I start, The last few days I would goto start my car in the morning and it would start then as the idle would drop it will stall, then when you turn the key again the car will crank and not start, then on the 3rd try it will start and run fine. but the other day I got gas and forgot to shut the engine off and now the check engine light is on and the car is still doing the same as before, any ideas...

You can have the codes pulled for free at places like Autozone or Advance Auto.

I'm betting the Check Engine light is because the engine was running with the gas cap removed. Check the codes and see. If it is then erase the codes and see if it comes back.

Now the hard starting in the 1.9L model is a bad fuel pressure regulator. Not sure on the newer models.
