Just bought a new 06 s40, and it seems there is a lot of wind noise coming from the driver and passenger doors. Any one else with this problem. Any suggestions?

 

Have the same problem with my used c70......

Hmmm, well, I don't have my 06 S40 right now. But I didn't notice any wind noise when testing driving the car???

 

ya i kinda notice that in my s80 t6, kind of a lot of wind noise....

 

06 S40 T5, no noticeable wind noise.

 

I have the same problem. Volvo then replaced the door rubbers. I still have the wind noise.
I was told by Volvo and I quote "During the test drive, the “wind noise� was evaluated. There is NO wind noise. There is however some outside wind turbulence. We cannot alter the design of the motor car." So your wind noise is a design feature of the Volvo S40. You don't have to pay any extra to get this wonderful feature.

2006 S40 with 2700 miles.

I do noticed the wind noise. The reason it stands out is because the pitch of the sound is higher - as if there is a leak. In other words, yes I have wind noise on the freeway, noise that sounds like it could be eliminated (fixed, rubber replacement).

 

they make this stuff called "Edead" that you put on the inside of your doors, it acts as insulation and quietens the ride even more.
