I have an 06 Volvo s40 and recently had the steering rack changed by a mechanic, on picking up the car he advised he was unable to clear the codes that came up while changing the rack.

I now have an airbag code showing advising to airbag service required and also my other code is showing anti skid service required.

On top of this none of the controls on steering wheel are now working.

Tried resetting the ecu by disconnecting the battery for 20 mins but to no avail. can anyone help me with this without me having to go to a main dealer where I will be charged through the nose for a repair,

What codes did you have prior to bringing your car to the mechanic?

Seems like you now have more codes showing that before you took your car in.
