so.........I ran an arrand and when i got back into the car.... it wouldnt start *yikes*
the instrument panel and headlights would work like they should but nothing...no clicking no engine turning over, etc.
so i sat there and ordered a tow truck and after 40 minutes *guess what* it started up again no problem...
the tow trucker driver must have thought i was High *smirk* and NO I wasnt high!
so my question is this...
Has anyone here experienced anything like this?
because I feel that is the alarm kicking in and not letting the engine start.
is there a way to deactivate it or does someone know the steps i have to perform to make sure the car starts right away everytime? (like do a jig, or chant in some strange Language, turn the key once to the left, or right, yadda yadda yadda)
I'll do whatever it takes if I can start the car everytime.
Thanks for your help

The immobilizer may have caused your car not to start. This can happen if the antenna ring around the ignition does not recognize the chip in the key. The antenna ring has been known to malfunction and a replacement is available. Next time this happens (which hopefully it doesnt happen again) pay attention to your dash. Is there a light on the dash with a car with an X through it? From my understanding this is an indication of the immobilizer being active. Next time try to remove the key and reinsert it to see if you can get it to start. If this becomes a chronic problem a trip to the dealer or indy shop is in order
