2001 S40 CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

WILL TAKING OFF BATTERY CABLE CLEAR CHECK ENGINE.HIT A LOT WATER DRIVING THE OTHER DAY.LIGHT CAME ON.

Sometimes it will but most times it won't. That just in my experience.

Water might have worked its way to the top of the motor and made it misfire for a few seconds long enough to throw the code.
