2001 s40 90,000 miles and have a couple of oil leaks. What area's are know to leak?

 

Turbo seals are very common to leak. I replaced mine two times because they were leaking!

 

My oil line for the turbo leaked also. Part in very cheap if you takle the job yourself. Volvo dealer charged around $200I think. I also believe they informed me that my rear main seal had a slight leak, to the tune of$1000+, so I held off on that one, have never seen an oil drop, so I am not worried about it.

 

I tried for two weeks to replace the turbo oil drain seals and could not remove one of the screws from the bottom because of the transmission mount. I took it to a repair shop and he informed me (after performing the service) that he uses a 1/4 swivel socket and a T-30 bit to get in there. I hope this helps.
