I have the 2004 S40 2.4i. Does anyone know where to buy a 2.4i engine? Are there aftermarket turbo kits for the car and where can I pick one up?

 

No there are no aftermarket turbo kits. Your going to have to piece one together yourself.

 

I lied. VMS (VolvoMotorSports) supposedly has two turbo kits that fit the S and V 40's. However they don't like to give you a year as to which this kit will fit or if it will fit at all.

Also they have a bad rap and I wouldn't purchase anything from them ever.

 

Engine internal is different. Forge piston is used in the turbo engine (higher cost but can withstand higher compression)and cast pistons is used in a normally aspirated engine (lower cost). If a turbo modified tointo it can cause engine to blow up! There is a reason why turbo cost a lot more than a N/A car.
