Hi,

My 2004 S40 alarm goes off when i unlock the car (30 seconds on / 10 seconds off).

I think it's just the indicators that flash (no internal lights flashing).

It stops sometimes after I drive for a while (maybe after i drive it faster).

The vovlo head unit stereo is also not working / needs a code (due to battery dieing and the car being off the road for a while).

Any help or suggestions would be great.

You can get the radio code from a dealer - but the code is tied to the VIN of the car - so if its not the original radio, they can't help. If its a replacement radio, see if somebody wrote the 4 digit code in the owners manual or on the unit itself (slide out to see). Can't help with the alarm - what happens when you try the alarm reset (open/close locks 5x with the fob)? Sounds like a switch or sensor is acting up.
