Hello. I know the S40 takes H7 headlight bulbs and have been using standard ones ever since I got the car. I was looking into other types of bulbs (newer ones like the Xenon's and halogen bulbs). I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations of types/brands that they have tried.

Hey matt, i just picked up a pair of hella brand light bulbs. theyre high performace and give it a good look.

I used to use SilverStar and SilverStar Ultras. My first set of SilverStars only lasted one year. The must have improved them because after that they lasted much longer. I can't speak for the Ultra longevity as the car got totaled. They were much brighter and whiter than the stock bulbs though. I wish I could get them for my V50.
