If you have an automatic, check the shifter release button to see if its stuck inward - the shifter has an interlock which keeps the car from starting when it senses its not in park and will not allow the key to be removed.
I do have an automatic but I don’t know where to locate the shift realest button ? Is that on the shifter **** ? If so then no it’s no stuck?
update!! I just tried starting up this morning and it did not crank or start !! Now my key is stuck in ignition
thanks in advance
Yes, a broken connection inside the battery. The battery is 6 cells connected by buss bars - metal connections between the cells connecting them in series. If one of those cracks maybe from thermal expansion and contraction the battery can still register 12.4 volts - but it won't be able to provide any current under load. Can you jump start the car? (using quality jumper cables)
A good next step would be to load test the battery and if ok - use a compatible scan tool to look for any electronic faults.

Hoonk is right (as usual). Throw a voltmeter on the battery and see what happens when you turn the key to the start position (don't rely on the jumper box voltmeter - it could be reading its internal battery).
